Jayasekara, Rasika, et al. "Cognitive Behavioural Therapy For Older Adults With Depression: A Review." Journal Of Mental Health 24.3 (2015): 168-171. Academic Search Elite. Web. 29 Nov. 2016.
The article I chose was a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for older adults with depression. The article's main focus was to show that Cognitive behavioral therapy is effective for adults with depression and how it can help. In addition it shows the things that are helpful with Cognitive behavioral therapy for depression but it also shows how it's not effective in a way. The way the article explains how it is effective is that the article explained that it is a highly effective way of treating adults with depression. This source is very effective because it came from a database that stored is from askri.org. A database is a private company user that is very reliable to use. Another reason why it's effective is because the article is from the journal of mental health. This shows how the reliable article is because it has many researchers who contributed to the project. There is also a page of citation the researchers used which shows the credibility. This source has no bias because if it did then it wouldn't be credible since it's a research project about CBT on adults with depression. Also it has 2 point of views explaining what's good and bad about CBT on adults with depression. It answers my question because it's showing me how patients with depression are improving by going to cognitive behavioral therapy. Kassel, Karen Schroeder, and MIchael Woods. "Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Rational Emotive Therapy; Rational Behavior Therapy; Rational Living Therapy; Dialectic Behavior Therapy; Schema Focused Therapy." Consumer Health Complete. EBSCOhost, June 2015. Web. 2016.
The article I chose was a Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy(CBT) ; Rational Emotive Therapy; Rational Behavior Therapy; Rational Living Therapy; Dialectic Behavior Therapy; Schema Focused Therapy which talked about Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. The articles main purpose was to give background information on what cognitive behavioral therapy is and how does it help people. Furthermore it explained how cognitive behavioral therapy works as in what does it do to people who are in cognitive behavioral therapy. In the article it showed that depression is the first major health problem its effective towards. This source is very reliable because I found in a askri.org. Askri.org is a database that specificly gives you sources that had been look at and are scholarly ready. Another reason why this source is reliable is because it’s from the Consumer health complete. This sources has no bias because it is showing how CBT is effective for certain types of health problems. This sources does answer my question because I need to know and understand how cognitive behavioral therapy works and what its effective towards Kootker, Joyce A., et al. "An Augmented Cognitive Behavioural Therapy For Treating Post-Stroke Depression: Description Of A Treatment Protocol." Clinical Rehabilitation 29.9 (2015): 833-843. Academic Search Elite. Web. 30 Nov. 2016. This article I chose was An augmented Cognitive Behavioral therapy for treating post stroke depression. The articles main purpose was to inform how there could be a new was of helping patients with post stroke depression with cognitive behavioral therapy. In addition this article talks about how Cognitive Behavioral therapy is better than the usual way to treat post stroke depression and it went step by the methods they went through. Further more it talked about the effects and the after effects of using Cognitive Behavioral therapy. The study showed that Cognitive Behavioral therapy is effective to treat post stroke depression. This source is very reliable because it's from the clinical rehabilitation and it's from the database Askri.org. These two examples show how reliable this source is because askri.org is a database and only shows specific information that had been looked over. This source does not have bias because at the end it explains how even though it was effective there is still some hiccups in having Cognitive Behavioral therapy treating post stroke depression. This source does answer my question because it answers my question about how Cognitive Behavioral therapy affects the wellbeing of patients. In addition it shows how's effective Cognitive Behavioral therapy can be towards depression. Fathi, Atefeh, Walter Renner, and Barbara Juen. "A Qualitative Study Of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy For Iranian Migrants With Mild/Moderate Depression In Austria." Bulletin Of The Menninger Clinic 80.2 (2016): 166-186. Academic Search Elite. Web. 30 Nov. 2016. The article I chose was the Qualitative Study Of Cognitive- Behavioral Therapy For Iranian Migrants With Mild/Moderate Depression In Austria by Fathi, Atefeh, Walter Renner, and Barbara Juen. The article's main purpose is to present rersearch on how Cognitive Behavioral Therapy can be affective for Iraninian Migrants with depression. In addition, it explain the lab they created to show how CBT is helpful towards depression. In the article it explains how CBT is effective but it's not when it comes to checking in on the patients after the study. CBT is shown to be effective for depression in some cases after treatment its not but it also explained that there sociocultural background can be tied up with the CBT. This sources tells me a lot about how Cognitive Behavioral therapy is effective for mild/moderate depression. It offers only one research study but it is an independent research. This source is credible because it's from the Bulletin Of The Menninger Clinc. This source is very reliable because it is from askri.org and it's from doctors who know what they are doing when they study this. This article has no bias because it talks about the positive and negative effects of Cognitive Behavioral therapy as in how it's not that much effective after the treatment and how it does show decrease symptoms of depression. This source answers my question because I'm finding how Cognitive Behavioral therapy affect the mental wellbeing of patients with depression. This article answers my question because it tells me how depressed affects the mental well being with depression by decreasing there depressive state. |
